Welcome to HG Learning Academy

Our purpose is simple, "getting back to the basics of loving education." In order for a child to fully thrive, it takes caring parents, guardians, teachers, and families to show a child how to love learning. HG Learning Academy, wants to make academics fun and exciting again! Do you remember the first time that you rode a bike, or spelled your name? The pleasure and pure delight that you experienced about accomplishing these tasks, was an amazing feeling. Everyday we want your child to feel that same excitement learning with wonderful teachers, socializing with new friends, and experiencing the joys of discovery. Instilling a love for school and learning

is at the heart of our academy

We believe in providing a safe, structured, inclusive setting that supports, encourages and inspires each child. Our fundamental belief that children learn best through meaningful play is reflected in a child-centered program that integrates the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, self-help and aesthetic areas for the total development of the child. HG Learning Academy's language arts curriculum builds and strengthens vocabulary, language development, verbal expression and reasoning, as well as social interaction and awareness. All of these are essential pre-reading skills. Children love to name and classify shapes, letters, numbers and objects.

Team teaching and low ratios allow HG Learning Academy's highly experienced teachers the opportunity to bond with each child and give individual attention. Our teachers focus on each child's individual learning styles to provide the best educational and developmentally appropriate experiences possible. HG Learning Academy is committed to excellence in teaching and promotes continuing education for teachers.

18 Months to 2 years • Improving coordination • At least 20 minutes of daily readings • Music • Introduction to different cultures • Recognizing numbers • Introducing shapes • Introduction to colors 3-4 year olds • Exploring Learning to ignore distractions, and focus on the task at hand • Learning to be more creative when solving problems • Communicating in simple sentences and refining use of grammar • Begin to initiate conversations 5-6 year olds • Developing greater self-control and ingenuity • Trying new experiences • Being more self-reliant • Learn to be independent decision makers • Learn to expand their vocabularies day by day • Learn multi-step directions
